3 DAYS TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO ZAGORA (CHEGAGA DUNES)
The magic of Sahara desert : 3 days from Marrakech to Chagaga Dunes
Day 1: Marrakech - Tizi-n-Tichka - Agdez - Zagora
Leaving Marrakech by our 4×4, we take the route up into the High Atlas Mountains and cross the highest passing via Tizi-N-Tichka. After a stop for lunch, we will pass through Ouarzazate, Hollywood capital of Morocco, and through another pass, Tizi-n-Tinffift to reach Agdez and the Draa Valley, then we will continue heading south from Agdez through fortified villages and palm groves down to the oasis of Zagora. Having dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Zagora - Tamagroute - M'hamid - Chegaga
In the second day of your journey, after breakfast, we will start our way to M'hamid. We will make a stop on the way in a town called Tamagroute to visit the Koranic library and the pottery factory, here they make beautiful green glazed ceramics. Lunch will be at M'hamid to prepare you for approximately 2 hours camel ride on the 4×4 track to the big sandy dunes of Chegaga. You will get a chance to see the spectacular sunset over the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a luxury desert camp at beside of the dune.
Day 3: Chegaga - Lake Iriqui - Foum Zguid - Taznakht - Marrakech
The go back to Marrakech via the track between Erg Chegaga and the dry bed of the Draa through Lake Iriqui, then through the oasis Foum Zguid. We will continue by road via Taznakht and then go back to Marrakech, photo stops will be made during the day between Taznakht and Marrakech before arriving at the hotel.
