5 days Private Morocco tour from Tangier
Day 1 : Tangier - Chefchaouen :
We'll depart with a drive through the Rif Mountains and past the city of Tetoune. To enjoy the breathtaking view of the landscape, we'll stop to rest at the feet of the Rif mountains, in Chefchaouan. Chefchaouen's medina has a strong influence of Spanish architecture, as it was once part of the "Spanish Morocco" it's square is showered in funky artisanal shops beaming with colors. It's also home to many rooftop restaurants and cafes, also existing in your in the Riads, where you can enjoy the relax of the evening with a nice breeze and beautiful view.
Day 2 : Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
After a delectable breakfast, our tour continues towards Volubilis, crossing over Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we'll discover the Roman ruins and know about the Moroccan history.
keeping on to Meknes, we'll stop for lunch and discover the historical walls of the medina along with Bab el Mansour and a visit to the Moulay Ismail shrine. Later in the afternoon we'll head to Fes where we will spend the night.
Day 3 : Fes
We'll start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, taking an outing through its alleys and narrow streets. We'll start site-seeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish headquarter where the first Mellah ever was built in Morocco, during the 16th century. We'll ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest one in the region.
We'll also visit the Tannery, the Attarine museum and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit many different cooperatives and then experience a lovely panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
Day 4 : Fes - Rabat - Casablanca
Fes consists of three distinct parts: Fes el Bali (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) being the oldest of the three with more than 9000 narrow streets and alleys reinforced by a large wall, Fes-Jdid "the new Fes" (home of the Jewish quarter) and the "Ville Nouvelle", the newest sector of Fes created during the French occupation. Later in the day we'll move on to Rabat and then Casablanca.
Day 5 : Casablanca - Assilah - Tangier
Today we continue from Casablanca to Assilah and then Tangier, where we'll end our tour and our services.
